Prep

• Gather tools: brushes, rollers, tray, tape, drop cloths, sandpaper, spackle
•  Move/cover furniture and floors
•  Remove outlet covers & switch plates

Surface Prep

•  Patch holes & cracks
•  Sand smooth and wipe clean
• Tape edges (trim, ceilings, corners)

Prime

• Spot-prime patched areas
•  Full prime if changing dark → light or covering stains

Paint

• Cut in edges with an angled brush
• Roll walls using a “W/M” pattern
•  Allow to dry & apply second coat if needed

Finish

•  Inspect and touch up missed spots
•  Remove painter's tape carefully
• Clean brushes/rollers & store leftover paint
